UAAP Season 82 Trophies

The 82nd season of UAAP trophies and medals are a true symbol of unity and collaboration. The carved  hands holding a ring symbolizes victory through unity. It also brought Junknot an opportunity to collaborate with Mindanao-based social enterprise Maranao Collectibles.

The trophies are a combination of upcycled plastics, wood, and engineered bamboo. The hands are carved by an Ifugao carver. The medal plates are made from bullets, doorknobs, and pipes, collected from the ground zero of the Marawi siege in 2017. Their encasements are made from plastic trash collected in Taal, Batangas and woven by the local community. All in all, 320 kilos of plastic waste ropes were used for the trophies and medals. The medal strap are woven by the Maranao in Marawi.
