The Coral Collection is a reflection on the impact of human activities on our oceans. Each piece in the collection is made from common ocean polluters such as plastic, fabric, and rubber. Every year, an estimated 8 million tons of plastics are dumped in our oceans, affecting all sea creatures including corals.

The Coral Bed is designed after the “table coral”, which has a broad horizontal surface. Often mistaken as sea plants or rocks, corals are actually animals that are essential sources of food and shelter of other marine creatures. The Bed saves 123 kilos of plastic wastes and 25 pieces of old jeans.

The other pieces in the collection are the Brain Coral stool, the Tire’d table, and the Blue Coral stools. The collection saved a total of 130.5 kilos of plastic wastes.
